The Chairperson of the Tongasat Board is Her Royal Highness Princess Salote Mafile'o Pilolevu Tuita.   HRH Princess Pilolevu is the only daughter of His Majesty King Taufa’ahau Tupou IV, the reigning monarch of the Kingdom of Tonga.

A former senior engineer with the Tonga Telecommunications Commission, Mr. Panuve was appointed as Managing Director in 2003.   Mr. Panuve was initially recruited to Tongasat in 1996. After working in Tonga for several years, Mr. Panuve relocated to Hong Kong where he worked full-time for Tongasat's marketing agent Pacific Asia Global Holdings. In addition to this responsibility, Mr. Panuve was appointed to the Board as Tongasat's Technical Director. Mr. Panuve holds a Bachelors of Engineering (Electrical & Electronics) from Auckland University and an MBA from the University of South Australia.

A business woman who, with her late husband, Mr. Kelepi Tupou, was instrumental in setting up Tongasat in 1988. While serving on the Board of Tongasat as the Marketing Director, Mrs. Tupou concurrently owns and runs several other businesses of her own in Tonga. Mrs. Tupou also serves as the CEO and Director of Tongasat’s marketing agent, Pacific Asia Global Holdings Ltd., which is based in Hong Kong

A practicing barrister at the Tongan Bar, Mr. Edwards also acts as Tongasat's Corporate Secretary and is Secretary to the Board.   A BSc, BA and  LLB graduate of the University of Auckland, Mr. Edwards was admitted as a Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in 1995 and was licensed to practice in Tonga at the end of 1995.   He has appeared in a number of high-profile cases in Tonga.   He was Tongasat's in-house Legal Counsel since 1997 and Tongasat's Corporate Secretary since 2000.
